
About Dr Caroline Foreman
Dr Caroline Foreman is a Specialist Consultant Physician, and qualified Allergist and Immunologist. She is available to consult with patients aged over 11 years old, providing expert diagnosis and advice, as well as (where needed), skin prick testing, immunotherapy and food/drug challenges.
Caroline graduated as a doctor in 2008 from Flinders University. After completing her internship and physician training at The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), Caroline was accepted into Adult Immunology and Allergy specialist training at Flinders. She completed her specialist training and was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2017.
Caroline has presented work at national conferences for Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology and continues to perform research in allergy and autoimmunity. She has an interest in drug allergy and has worked with the allergy reporting in SA’s public hospital electronic health record (Sunrise) and The MedicAlert Foundation Australia.
When not at work, Caroline enjoys spending time with her young family. She is known to her patients for her gentle, kind and thorough approach.
Caroline consults with patients on matters including:
Anaphylaxis to foods, insect venom, drugs (or idiopathic)
Chronic or acute urticaria (hives)
Angioedema
Hayfever - and desensitisation
Drug allergy
Eczema - if allergy is thought to be involved
Primary immunodeficiencies
Autoimmune disorders such as vasculitis
Vaccine Reactions - with the goal of safely giving vaccines

Allergy Nurses

Pam Hudson
Pam is a specialist Allergy Nurse with over 30 years’ experience at Flinders Medical Centre. Since 2004 she has held the Clinical Nurse Consultant role within the Allergy and Clinical Immunology (ACI) Service.
Pam is a strong advocate for patients with allergic and immunological disorders and has actively worked to improve access to the right care in a timely manner.
She is an associate member of Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and regularly contributes to professional meetings.
Her clinical interests include food, venom and drug allergy, chronic urticaria, allergic rhinitis and atopic eczema.
Pam is passionate about empowering patients, through education to live well with acute and chronic allergic conditions.
Outside of work Pam enjoys spending time with her family including 4 grandchildren, gardening, beach walks and caravan travel.
Katelyn Beams
Katelyn is a Registered Nurse and clinical educator at University of South Australia. She completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Allergy Nursing at the University of South Australia in 2019 and has over seven years of experience in a surgical hospital and allergy clinic. Katelyn assists Dr Foreman with patient education, skin prick testing, immunotherapy and supervising allergy challenges.
Katelyn sees education as a priority and therefore enjoys teaching and mentoring students and graduate nurses, in addition to pursuing further study herself.
